A Guardian of a Legacy in Advanced ENT Surgery
Dr. Kumaraswamy Krishnappa is a Senior Consultant ENT Surgeon and the founder of Basavanagudi ENT Care Centre, Bangalore. He completed his MS (ENT) with a gold medal and has since built a distinguished career spanning over two decades in ear, nose, throat, and head & neck surgery.
An accomplished academic, Dr. Kumaraswamy Krishnappa has authored 26 peer-reviewed publications and is registered on ORCID. He has presented at national and international conferences including Finesse in Otology, and is widely regarded as one of South India's leading ENT surgeons.
Trained and working under his uncle Dr. A. Mahadevaiah over a period of twenty years, he has performed over 10,000 ear surgeries and has conducted numerous temporal bone dissection courses and live surgery workshops. He is a Governing Body Member of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOI).

Dr. A. Mahadevaiah was one of India's earliest advanced otologists — training in the United States and Canada before anchoring his transformative practice in Bengaluru. He founded Basavanagudi ENT Care Centre, which has since become one of the city's most trusted names in ear, nose, and throat care.
Today, his medical legacy, surgical philosophy, and patient-first values continue under Dr. Kumaraswamy Krishnappa — his direct disciple — who has carried this legacy forward for over 24 years.

Graduated from BMCRI with MBBS and Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology (DLO), then went on to earn his DNB (ENT) from the National Board of Examinations — building a strong academic foundation for his surgical career.
